Go '09 and Annoucements

Hey everyone!

This week, our HSM students, along with our Aqua group at Newpointe, traveled far and abroad Amish Country all the way across the street to the Norma Johnson Center and participated in Newpointe's Community Impact Day called Go '09. There were no services Sunday morning, but instead, the entire church traveled to different places around the area to show the love of Christ by serving the community. We spent the day clearing trails around the center, building a dock to put in a lake, and even forging a new trail around the perimeter of the lake! It was a blast seeing the students get so involved and to see how readily they wanted to help out their community. Personally, I thought it was especially neat to see tons of neon green t-shirts (our Go '09 shirts) around the area helping in different places. What a neat way to really be the church outside of these walls!

Party at the Lake - August 16th, right after church until 6pm
To celebrate the end of a great summer, we're having an event especially for our HSM students and for current 8th graders that will be going into high school in the fall! The event is free and includes food, transportation, swimming and tons of fun!! If you want to, you can bring some extra cash for things like paddle-boats ($2), putt-putt ($2), and Par-3 ($3). We can't wait and would love to see you there!

Buckeyes vs. Illionis Game - September 26th
Mark you calendars and come hang out in the Warehouse as we watch the Buckeyes dominate Illionis! Time is currently TBD, but as soon as we find out, we will let you know. The cost is $3 and includes pizza and wings.

Laser Tag - October 17th
Yes, that's right. Laser tag. Right here in Newpointe in the Big Room. It will be awesome! The cost is still TBD, but will be under $5 and will include not only laser tag, but food, drinks, worship and more! Bring your friends!
